Yogyakarta - The Civil Engineering and Planning Student Association of FT UNY through the Department of Student Resource Development was again holding the 8th edition of Civil War activities in 2023. Civilwar itself is a competition and competition activity that all DPTSP FT UNY students can participate in. This year the theme was "Together to Build Solidarity".

This activity was officially opened on (5/5/23). The Chairperson of the Civilwar Committee #8, Fahrizal Pribadi, said in his remarks that this civil war activity had the benefit of building solidarity with one DPTSP, fostering a competitive spirit and sportsmanship for DPTSP students, and providing a platform for developing student interests and talents. This is of course in line with the original purpose of holding this civil war activity, namely as a means and place for DPTSP students to develop their interests and talents in both the academic and non-academic fields.

The competitions that were contested at the Civilwar # 8 activity itself consisted of 5 categories, namely poster and video department competitions which were held online as well as bridge rafting, Civil Engineering LCC, and Futsal which were held offline. The bridge rafting competition took place in front of the RB room, LCC in the RB room, and for futsal it was held at the Jakal futsal field.

Overall DPTSP students were enthusiastic enough to take part in this activity as evidenced by each class sending representatives to take part in competitions in each category. On (27/5/23) Civiwar # 8 was officially closed by holding a closing ceremony to hand out prizes and awards to the winners. After the accumulation of all competition categories, the 2022 E class was declared the general champion of civil war # 8 this year, replacing the 2021 A class which became the overall champion the previous year.
