Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, especially the Department of Civil Engineering and Planning Education continues to maintain its achievements by participating in various competitions in the field of civil engineering. One of the competition agendas that was participated in was the Kompetisi Rancang Bangun (KRB) which was held by the Student Association of the Department of Civil Engineering, Universitas Udayana. In this event various fields of competition were held, namely the National Bridge Competition, the National Tender Competition, the National Paper Competition. This competition was attended by students from all universities in Indonesia. Students from the Department of Civil Engineering Education from the UKM Rekayasa Teknologi Divisi Rancang Bangun sent 2 teams in the field of National Bridge Competition. The theme raised is "Lightweight and Futuristic Bridges". The two teams are named Bimasena Wangun and Bimasena Kagendra.

The National Brigde Competition competition stage consists of submitting proposals, making bridge prototypes, and presentations. The Bimasena Wangun and Bimasena Kagendra teams made it to the finalist stage along with 3 other universities. Stage of making a prototype of 3mmx3mm balsa wood. The prototype was sent and tested at Universitas Udayana. The design concept of the bridge that was designed emphasizes lightness and futuristicity. The presentation was held on April 23, 2022 online at each campus by answering various questions from the jury. The Bimasena Wangun team won 2nd place in the National Bridge Competition. Congratulations to the students and supervisors for advancing the Department of Civil Engineering and Planning Education.
