Wisanggeni Team from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta which consists of three members, namely Suryatama Ageng Pamuji, Wildan Setiawan, and Eka Nur Wahyu Setyorini with Supervisor Dr. Ir. Slamet Widodo, S.T. M.T. started preparing for the competition since March 2021 by compiling proposals and carrying out a series of trial mixing concrete. As many as 54 teams from various universities in Indonesia collected proposals and video mixing day in the preliminary round. On May 10, 2021, it was announced that the Wisanggeni Team was one of the ten participants who had qualified for the final round.

In the final stage, participants begin preparing revised proposals and presentation materials for ten days with a deadline of May 21, 2021, to submit revised proposals online. To complete the lack of data in the planning proposal and to correct errors that occurred during the mixing day, the Wisanggeni Team again conducted a trial mixing with two types of concrete material composition. The first composition has the same design as the composition used on the mixing day, while the second composition is different.

The final day was held on May 23, 2021. Wisanggeni Team with nine other teams in the final round made presentations regarding the concrete planning proposal, mixing day, and the tests that had been carried out. The final day ends after ten teams have made their presentations. Then in the evening an awarding ceremony was held, and it was stated that the Wisanggeni Team won 3rd place in the Petra Civil Expo 2021 Concrete Compression Strength Competition (LKTB).
