Achievement after achievement continues to be achieved by Univeritas Negeri Yogyakarta’s students. The Baruna Swinword team from the divisi rancang bangun  UNY won 3rd place in the 2021 Water Innovation Contest Creation competition held by Universitas Gadjah Mada. This competition was held online due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In this competition, the Baruna Swinword team competed with other teams from universities across Indonesia. After going through the proposal selection stage, the Baruna Swinword Team was declared to have passed the final along with 4 other teams. The teams that passed to the final were the Baruna Swinford Team, Gama Anahita Team, Holywater 4 Team, Waste Water Fetilizer Team, and Narendra Team. The Baruna Swinword team consists of Intan Lathifatur Rosyidah, Novarida Nurul Sabrina, and M. Fajar Amir.

In the Water Innovation Contest Creation 2021 competition, Baruna Swinword's team made a work entitled "Sewage Treatment Plants Using The Communal Biodegradation Methods in East Kalimantan". The work carried the theme Sustainable Water Management to Support SDGs 2030. Through this work, the Baruna Swinword team managed to win 3rd place in the competition.
