The Baruna Green Way team from the UNY design division won 3rd place and favorite winner in the 2022 National Paper Competition Civil Engineering Festival at the Politeknik Negeri Jakarta on August 19, 2022. This competition was held at the Politeknik Negeri Jakarta, Depok, West Java. In this competition, the Baruna Green Way team competed with 20 other teams from 15 universities across Indonesia. After going through the full paper selection stage, the Baruna Green Way Team was declared to have passed the final along with 5 other universities. The teams that passed to the final were Banyu Naraya (Politeknik Pekerjaan Umum Semarang) OG (Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang), SS-07 TRITON (Universitas Sebelas Maret), Mahawira Sahita (Universitas Diponegoro), and CT-RATRI (Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember). The Baruna Green Way team consists of Bintang Fajar Ariyanto, Intan Lathifatur Rosyidah, and Diva Salsa Rohalya.

In the 2022 National Paper Competition Civil Engineering Festival at the Politeknik Negeri Jakarta, the Baruna Green Way team made a work entitled "Treatment of Underground River Water in Gaduhan Hamlet with Healthwater Equipment". This work promotes improvement regarding the quality of turbid water to make water usable by utilizing natural materials and components so that it can provide clean and suitable water for consumption. Through this work, the Baruna Green Way team managed to win the 3rd place title and the favorite winner in the competition.
