IMPLEMENTING KURIKULUM MERDEKA BELAJAR – KAMPUS MERDEKA, PTSP FT UNY DEPARTMENT HELD DISCUSSIONS WITH INDUSTRIAL PARTNERS AND VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS

Following up on the enactment of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta Rector's Regulation Number 5 of 2020 concerning Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka which was stipulated on the basis of Permendikbud Number 3 of 2020 concerning Higher Education National Standards, the Department of Civil Engineering Education and Planning FT UNY held a discussion on the draft of Free Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka on Wednesday, June 24th 2020 at the Civil Engineering Laboratory Building and the PTSP FT UNY Department Structure with due observance of the Covid-19 health protocol. This discussion was attended by department administrators, heads of laboratories/workshops, and representatives from various groups of expertise by inviting Dr. Wagiran, M.Pd. as the composing team for the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka UNY as well as the Head of the Pusat Audit, Monitoring, dan Evaluasi Pendidikan Tinggi LPMPP UNY. This discussion was also attended by stakeholders from the world of the construction service industry consisting of the Secretary of the Board of Management of Inkindo for the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Deputy Chairperson of the Gapensi Regional Management Board for Central Java Province, representatives from PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk, PT Pola Data Consultant, PT Cakra Manggilingan Jaya, PT Andaru Koncer Jagad, PT Elcentro Engineering and CV Arista Karya. In addition, there were also representatives of partners from various Vocational High Schools in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, such as SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta, SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta, SMK Negeri 2 Depok Sleman, SMK Negeri 2 Pengasih Kulon Progo, SMK Negeri 1 Seyegan, and SMK Negeri 1 Pajangan Bantul. The draft curriculum discussed is a plan for implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka with a 5-1-2, 6-1-1, and 6-0-2 learning period pattern that has been stipulated in UNY Rector Regulation Number 5 of 2020. Discussions on the draft the curriculum for the Bachelor Civil Engineering study program, Bachelor of Civil Engineering and Planning Education, and D4 Civil Engineering ran smoothly and received various invaluable inputs from partners as refinement material for finalizing the Independent Learning Curriculum - Independent Campus in the three study programs which began to be implemented at the beginning 2020/2021 academic year.
