On October 30 2016, the Department of Civil Engineering and Planning Education, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta held a Lomba Rancang Bangun Jembatan  (Bridge Design Contest) which was attended by SMK and SMA students from Java and Bali. The competition was held at the KPLT Building, 3rd Floor, Faculty of Engineering, UNY. The event was held in collaboration between the Civil Engineering Education and Planning Student Association of FT UNY (HMTSP), the Forum Keluarga Mahasiswa Teknik Sipil Indonesia (FKMTSI) and the UNY Restek UKM Divisi Rancang Bangun. The activity ran smoothly, and the contestants were very enthusiastic. The hope of holding the UNY 2016 Lomba Rancang Bangun Jembatan (Bridge Design Contest) is that it will become a promotional event for the Department of Civil Engineering and Planning Education so that it will become more widely recognized by the wider community. In addition, this activity also aims to educate SMK-SMA students to gain knowledge and knowledge in building strong bridges. This activity is expected to increase the competence and accreditation of the Department of Civil Engineering and Planning Education, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. LRBJ UNY is always held every year, and from year to year the participants always welcome the competition.
