The challenges of problems in the field of civil engineering that are increasingly complex encourage the Department of Civil Engineering and Planning Education (JPTSP) FT UNY to continue to provide students with renewable technology and knowledge. On January 13th, 2020 the Department of Civil Engineering Education and Planning, FT YSU held a public lecture with Ömer Çobanoğlu, M.Sc from Beihang University as the speaker with the theme Finite Element Analysis (FEA). FEA is one of the most powerful structural analysis methods for solving problems in the field of civil engineering, whether for design or evaluation purposes.

This activity was moderated by Muhammad Nuruzaman, M.Pd., who is a lecturer at JPTSP FT UNY. The material presented by Ömer Çobanoğlu, M.Sc about FEA with the Abaqus software was enthusiastically attended by all participants from the three Study Programs in the Department of Civil Engineering Education and Planning FT UNY. According to the head of the JPSTP FT UNY department, Dr. Ir. Slamet Widodo, S.T., M.T. IPM. This activity is the fruit of collaboration between the Department of Civil Engineering Education and Planning FT UNY and the Department of Civil Engineering Beihang University.
