Two teams from UNY consisted of 6 people namely Ibnu Pandu Ajie Nugroho, B Tri Indrayani, Hidayat Mahardika, Wahyu Bagas Prasetyo, Aris Wisnu P. and Ismail Fajar Isakhofi. The two teams started preparing for the competition since July by making proposals for which the 10 best teams in Indonesia would be selected. On August 28, the finalists were announced, and there were two finalists from UNY with the names Bimasena and Bimasena Wani. On October 3rd, the team left for the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November where competition took place, the participants attended a technical meeting and also did a presentation. The next day the bridge assembly round was held by all finalists who took place at the ITS Civil Engineering Department, and the last day was closing as well as awarding ceremony. Of all the participants who took part in this competition, the UNY Team won 2nd place. there were only 10 teams that would advance to the final round including from the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November, Universitas Negeri Malang, Politeknik Negeri Jakarta, Politeknik Negeri Semarang, University of Indonesia, Diponegoro University, and Lambung Mangkurat University.
